Investigation centers on an Aug. 15, 2025 incident in the city’s B-2 police district

Boston police are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect tied to an ongoing breaking-and-entering investigation in Roxbury. The case is being handled by detectives assigned to District B-2, the department’s Roxbury-area district.

The reported incident occurred at about 11:25 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 15, 2025, at 101 Madison Park Court, police said. Authorities released images of the person they are seeking to identify in connection with the investigation.

Suspect description and what investigators have released

Police described the suspect as an older Black male. In the images circulated by investigators, the suspect is shown wearing clothing that police described as a black Red Sox hat, a red sweatshirt, red shorts, and white sneakers.

Detectives said they are actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident. The department has not publicly released additional details about what was taken or whether any injuries were reported, and no arrest has been announced.

How to share information, including anonymously

Police urged anyone with information to contact District B-2 detectives at 617-343-4275. The department also emphasized that tips may be provided anonymously through its CrimeStoppers system by phone at 1-800-494-TIPS, or by text by sending the word “TIP” to CRIME (27463). Online tips can also be submitted through the department’s CrimeStoppers portal.

The department said it will strictly safeguard the identities of people who want to provide information confidentially and that photos and videos related to the investigation may also be submitted anonymously.

Authorities have not provided a timetable for when additional information may be released. Investigators continue to ask anyone who recognizes the person shown in the images, or who has relevant information about the incident at Madison Park Court, to come forward.
