Boston police investigate Allston shooting near Gordon and Pomeroy streets as victim later dies at hospital

What authorities say happened

Boston Police are investigating a shooting in the Allston neighborhood that left one person dead after several days in the hospital. Officers assigned to District D-14 responded at about 8:10 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2025, to a report of a person shot in the area of 17A Gordon Street.

Police said they found the victim outside 7 Pomeroy Street with an apparent gunshot wound. Boston EMS transported the victim to a local hospital. In the days that followed, authorities said the victim was pronounced dead on Tuesday, June 17, 2025.

Victim identification and medical examiner review

Police identified the victim as a 15-year-old juvenile male. The cause and manner of death were pending review by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner at the time police provided an update.
