Durham, N.C. — Duke controls the game from the opening minutes

Duke defeated Boston College 67-49 on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026, at Cameron Indoor Stadium, using a decisive early stretch to build a lead that never came under serious pressure. The Blue Devils scored the first 13 points of the game and carried a 42-27 advantage into halftime, positioning themselves to close out a wire-to-wire Atlantic Coast Conference win.

The result extended Duke’s winning streak to 10 games and moved the Blue Devils to 21-1 overall and 10-0 in ACC play. Boston College fell to 9-13 overall and 2-7 in the conference.

Key performances: Boozer’s double-double and defensive activity

Freshman forward Cameron Boozer led Duke with 19 points and 12 rebounds. He also recorded five steals, providing an additional layer of impact beyond scoring. Duke received 12 points from Isaiah Evans, while Maliq Brown contributed four assists without a turnover.

Boston College’s Fred Payne scored 14 points on 7-of-14 shooting to lead the Eagles. No other Boston College player reached double figures.

How the game was decided: efficiency inside and a fast start

Duke’s opening burst established control immediately, and the Blue Devils maintained separation with a strong first half that included an 18-point lead before the break. Duke shot 60.7% from the floor in the first half and finished the game at 48% (24-for-50).

Boston College struggled to match that efficiency. The Eagles shot 38% (20-for-52) overall, went 5-for-20 from three-point range (25%), and made 4 of 9 free throws (44%). Duke went 14-for-20 at the line (70%).

  • Halftime score: Duke 42, Boston College 27
  • Largest Duke lead: 20 points
  • Rebounds: Duke 35, Boston College 31
  • Turnovers: Boston College 12, Duke 9

What’s next on the schedule

Boston College is set to play Miami on Saturday, beginning a stretch of three straight home games. Duke’s next game is Saturday at North Carolina in a ranked ACC matchup.

Duke’s early scoring run and first-half shooting efficiency created a margin that Boston College did not erase, as the Eagles’ perimeter shooting and free-throw struggles limited their scoring to 49 points.
