Los Angeles and Jupiter advance to TGL final as Atlanta and Boston fall in semifinals

Two single-elimination matches set the Final Series field at SoFi Center
Los Angeles Golf Club and Jupiter Links Golf Club advanced out of the TGL semifinals, ending the seasons of Atlanta Drive GC and Boston Common Golf and setting up a Los Angeles–Jupiter championship matchup in the league’s postseason format.
The semifinals were played as a doubleheader at SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, under TGL’s single-elimination structure. The winners move on to the Final Series, while the losing teams are eliminated.
How Los Angeles reached the final
Los Angeles secured its place in the Final Series with a win that continued a late-season push built on strong singles play and decisive hole strategy. In the weeks leading into the playoffs, Los Angeles had already posted a statement result against New York Golf Club (6–3 on March 3), a performance that underscored the club’s ability to control matches once it gained a multi-point advantage.
Los Angeles entered the postseason as one of the league’s most consistent teams, buoyed by a roster featuring Tommy Fleetwood, Justin Rose and Collin Morikawa during the regular season. In TGL’s format—combining team play and head-to-head singles—depth and adaptability have been central to closing out matches, particularly when point swings are possible through “Hammer” scenarios.
Jupiter’s path included late-season survival, then a semifinal breakthrough
Jupiter’s run to the final came after a dramatic late-season turnaround. In the final match of the regular season, Jupiter rallied past The Bay Golf Club, using a six-point closing run to secure a comeback victory and clinch a playoff berth. That result locked in the Season 2 postseason field and kept Jupiter’s season alive.
Earlier in the season, Boston Common had beaten Jupiter in overtime (7–6 on March 2) to clinch the top playoff seed, illustrating how narrow the margins can be in TGL’s scoring system and overtime procedures. The semifinal, however, flipped the outcome: Jupiter advanced while Boston was eliminated, ending a season that had included a climb to the No. 1 seed but no title opportunity after the single-elimination stage.
What the results mean for Boston and Atlanta
Boston’s elimination closes the door on a season that featured a major midyear surge and the league’s top seed entering the playoffs. Atlanta’s exit ends its bid to add another postseason run after strong prior results in the league’s early history. With both clubs eliminated, the Final Series will be contested by Los Angeles and Jupiter.
- Semifinals format: single-elimination
- Location: SoFi Center, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida
- Final Series: Los Angeles Golf Club vs. Jupiter Links Golf Club
TGL’s postseason structure places a premium on one-night execution: a top seed can be eliminated with a single loss, while a late qualifier can reach the final with two strong performances.
