Reichel produces immediately after deadline move as Bruins snap two-game skid at TD Garden
BOSTON — Lukas Reichel scored a goal and added an assist in his first game for the Boston Bruins on Thursday, March 19, helping power a 6-1 win over the Winnipeg Jets at TD Garden. Goaltender Jeremy Swayman stopped 22 shots as Boston ended a two-game losing streak and completed a two-game season sweep of Winnipeg.
Reichel’s goal came at 6:23 of the second period, an unassisted marker that pushed the Bruins’ lead to 2-0. He later picked up an assist on Jonathan Aspirot’s goal at 18:18 of the third period as Boston pulled away with three goals in the final five minutes.
Boston opened the scoring late in the first period when David Pastrnak scored unassisted at 14:52. The Bruins extended the lead late in the second on Viktor Arvidsson’s goal at 18:16, assisted by Pavel Zacha and Casey Mittelstadt.
The Bruins put the game out of reach early in the third period when Zacha scored at 3:15, with Mittelstadt and Arvidsson credited with assists. Winnipeg’s lone goal came on a power-play score by Jonathan Toews at 5:38, with assists from Elias Salomonsson and Brad Lambert.

Boston’s late surge included Fraser Minten’s goal at 15:52 (assisted by Pastrnak and Andrew Peeke) and Aspirot’s finish in the closing minutes, with Morgan Geekie and Reichel recording assists. The Bruins outshot the Jets 27-24 and won 60% of faceoffs, controlling long stretches of play as the game progressed.
Reichel’s first appearance for Boston came less than two weeks after he was acquired for a 2026 sixth-round draft pick.
Reichel, 23, joined the Bruins via trade completed March 6, when Boston acquired the forward from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for a 2026 sixth-round pick. At the time of the deal, he had played 19 NHL games during the 2025-26 season split between Vancouver and Chicago, totaling two goals and three assists. He was originally selected 17th overall by the Blackhawks in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.
The win moved Boston to 38-23-8 on the season and improved its home record to 26-9-1. Winnipeg fell to 28-29-11.
