City Services and Winter Weather Advisories
Following recent winter weather activity in the region, the City of Boston has issued updates regarding essential municipal services. For Monday, February 2, curbside trash and recycling collection will remain on its normal schedule across all neighborhood routes. However, the Public Works Department has announced that overnight street cleaning has been canceled for this date to accommodate ongoing snow management efforts.
Motorists should be aware that parking meters are operational and running on their normal schedules today. Additionally, following the lift of previous snow emergencies, the city reminds residents that space savers must be removed from public streets within 48 hours of an emergency declaration being ended. Vehicles found obstructing remediation efforts or in violation of standard parking regulations may be subject to towing. The city tow lot is open for vehicle releases from 7:00 AM to 10:30 PM, with automated kiosks available 24 hours a day.
